The Fray New Haven Concert reviews
George Strait and Reba did not disappoint!
Their show on May 1st held whatever reason, maybe it was the fact that I was raised with their songs on the radio, watched Reba's show on the TV and fell in love with the lyrics from The Fray's songs. The already amazing performance by both artists was enhanced by the song selection, lights, and videos! Reba was unforgettable with classics like "The Night the Lights Went out in Georgia", "Does He Love You" (Duet with Womack), and of course the favorite "Fancy". Tears were brought to my eyes with the quick comedic act by co-star Melissa Peterson. Out walked the King of Country when the lights came on after the break, dressed in Wranglers and a light blue button down, with the all famous cowboy hat ( it was black for those who were wondering) and he blew San Antonio away! If The Fray doesn't feel loved by his city after that night, I don't know what will convince him to do a show more often than every 6 years! His list of songs were outrageous! All the best were played, and as he "ended" the night with "Troubadour" and left the stage, the Alamo-dome went NUTS! If you thought it was loud when he walked out, the decibel range reached by the fans was immeasurable when he left!!! The floor seemed to shake beneath your feet! Mr. Strait seemed to realize exactly what we wanted and graciously came back out and played us FIVE more songs!! The concert was one of the best I have ever been to, the combination of 4 great artists including the Queen of Country Reba and the King of Country The Fray. I do have one regret though, the seats I had were not the best and I recommend buying early and spending the right amount to get the seats you want! As for me, the next time The Fray is in town, no more nosebleed seats, if his concerts are consistently this good, I am totally in for front row seats, no matter the price!
